It's been an up-and-down few weeks for former Tennessee Vols defensive back Micah Abernathy.
The Atlanta, GA native celebrated making the Green Bay Packers' 53-man roster after he wasn't part of final roster cuts.
Abernathy, however, was moved to the practice squad the day after final cuts when Green Bay claimed safety Rudy Ford off waivers.
On Saturday, Abernathy got some good news. He's reportedly being elevated to the Packers' active roster for Green Bay's season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
This is a reminder that things aren't always as they seem when it comes to NFL roster moves before the start of the season. Sometimes, teams have to do things that appear shady to make the numbers work.
Fortunately for Abernathy, all the roster movement had a positive outcome for the former Vols defensive back.
