Former Tennessee Vols defensive lineman Byron Young had a successful NFL debut for the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday afternoon.

Young, a third-round pick by the Rams in the 2023 NFL Draft, totaled four tackles, two quarterback hits, and a half sack in Los Angeles' 30-13 win against the Seattle Seahawks.

The former Vol could've had an even more impressive stat line, but Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith was able to get rid of the ball on one potential sack just before Young hit him.

Young showed at Tennessee last season that he can be a dangerous pass rusher. When you combine what he showed on film in college with his impressive NFL draft combine performance, it's easy to see why the rookie was able to make a big impact in his first career NFL regular season game.
