Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt silenced a lot of critics on Friday night in the New York Giants' 21-19 win against the Carolina Panthers.
Hyatt reeled in a 33-yard reception for a touchdown on a play that looked like it was straight from Tennessee's playbook.
The play wasn't a straight go-route, either. Hyatt made a nice move at the top of his route to get wide open in the end zone.
Hyatt received attention from trainers late in the first half after coming down hard after an incompletion. He didn't immediately return to the sidelines in the second half of the game.

Fortunately for Hyatt and the Giants, it sounds like the former Vol just got banged up a bit in the first half.
Hyatt told The Athletic's Dan Duggan that he'll be "fine" and that "everything's good".

Hyatt showed on Friday that he be a big play threat in the NFL. The former Vol should have plenty of opportunities to showcase his abilities this fall for the Giants.
