It's no secret that Tennessee Vols LHP Liam Doyle pitches with a lot of emotion.

Doyle, who is expected to be a top 10 selection in the 2025 MLB Draft later this summer, is an intense competitor when he's on the mound. And he's not afraid to drop a few curse words when he's in the heat of competition.

One particular viral moment this season, however, didn't sit well with Doyle's grandma.

Doyle joined Rob Friedman, AKA The Pitching Ninja, this week for a conversation about his pitching career.

Friedman asked Doyle if he called a hitter a "f—ing p—y" earlier this season, which Doyle confirmed that he did.

"I was trying to lip read, there was one point during the year where you, I believe, called a hitter an 'effing p–sy?'" asked Friedman.

"Yeah, that happened," responded Doyle. "Because they had an offensive time out again. My grandma wasn't too happy with me with that one, because that kind of went viral and [it was] everywhere, which was kind of funny. And I like that stuff, but, yeah, I got a call from my grandma the next day. That wasn't too good. But besides that, it was well worth it, and it's just part of the competition. I feel like sometimes it just comes out, and that's just how it is with me."

"She just wasn't too happy with the swears," added Doyle when asked what his grandma said to him. "Me and my aunt were trying to figure out a way that we could make it sound like I didn't say that — because there was obviously lip reading — but there was almost no way around that one. There was nothing that was going to work. So she wasn't too happy with me. She said that was my last warning. It probably will happen again, so we'll see how it goes. But she wasn't too thrilled."

It doesn't matter how good of a player you are, or what level you're playing at, grandma will always be there to put you in your place when needed.
