I might be a little biased, but Tennessee football has the best fanbase in America. The Big Orange faithful are loud, proud, and loyal, even through the recent tough times that Vol football has faced.
And in addition to purchasing tons of tickets for games and buying loads of merchandise, UT fans also religiously tune in to watch Tennessee football play on television when they can't make it in person.
We saw incredible evidence of the way Vol fans will travel during Tennessee's big win over the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday. UT fanatics were scattered everywhere throughout Acrisure Stadium and they could be heard loud and clear on the TV broadcast.
And speaking of the TV broadcast of the Pitt game, take a look at this tweet from ESPN's public relations department…
If we can't actually make it to games, you better believe that Tennessee fans will be intently watching on TV or internet streaming. And Knoxville dominating college football TV markets as they did this past weekend is certainly nothing new. East Tennessee has long been one of the leading markets for CFB viewership. This city and fanbase not only loves its school and football team but it loves just watching football in general.
So, it's no wonder that bowl game organizers are giddy when the Vols are an option to play in their contests. There's never a doubt that UT fans will be there in droves or be watching from home and few schools can hold a candle to the way that the Big Orange faithful represent for their team. You probably didn't need it but this is all simply more evidence of how unbeatable Tennessee fans truly are.
