The College Football Playoff showed its obvious bias on Tuesday night and it has a major impact on the Tennessee Vols.

Tennessee fell to No. 5 in the CFP rankings this week after their 27-13 loss to Georgia this past weekend.

TCU, a team that's 9-0, is at No. 4 this week.

So where's the bias?

Well, a week ago, Alabama, which had one loss at the time, was ahead of TCU in the rankings.

Tennessee lost to the team that's currently No. 1 in the rankings and they have wins over two teams in the top 10 and somehow they fall below TCU this week?

Guess how many wins over top 10 teams Alabama had last week when they were ranked above TCU.

That's right. Zero.

If the committee had put Alabama behind TCU last week, I wouldn't say a word about Tennessee being behind them this week.

But they set a precedent and now they look like absolute fools. There's absolutely no way you can justify putting Alabama ahead of TCU last week and then putting Tennessee behind TCU this week (especially since the Vols have the "best loss" in college football).

The explanation is simple — Alabama gets more respect than other teams. And you might argue that they've earned that, but that's a cop-out. Each season is a new season and past results shouldn't impact current rankings.

If the committee is biased toward Alabama, then what other biases are there? I'm guessing there are probably a few.

Tennessee should be furious over these rankings. Every college football fan on the planet knows that an Alabama team with the same resumé would be ranked No. 4 this week.

The Vols are going to have to work harder than most programs to make the playoff this season and they're going to need some help.

Beyond that, though, I think we can officially call the committee a clown show — they exposed themselves on Tuesday night.
