We all know that Tennessee Vols quarterback Joe Milton can throw a football to the moon.

But how hard can he throw a baseball? That's a question that's been asked quite a few times over the last couple of years.

Thanks to The Athletic's Nick Baumgardner, we now know the answer.

Baumgardner asked Milton at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis this week how hard he can throw a baseball.

The answer is 98 MPH.

That's completely insane. If for some reason Milton gets tired of playing football, he could probably land a tryout with an MLB franchise. There aren't many people on the planet who can throw a baseball 98 MPH.

In late 2022, just before playing in the Orange Bowl, Milton told reporters that he actually wanted to play baseball in high school (he wanted to be a pitcher). But his high school coach quickly shut down that idea.

"I threw the ball once," said Milton. "And then my high school coach told me not to do it anymore. It was kind of one of those, 'let's try it out once, if you like it, you can kind of stick to it'. I did like it, but he told me I couldn't do it. He wanted me to finish playing football."

It's too bad multi-sport athletes in college aren't really a thing anymore. It would've been a lot of fun watching Milton take the field with the Tennessee baseball team and throw a few innings here and there.
