A former Tennessee Vols player and a former Tennessee Vols coach were on the wrong end of the same insult this weekend.

On Friday, now former Ole Miss Rebels head coach Lane Kiffin confronted On3’s Ben Garrett after the Egg Bowl for a comment that was made on a podcast about Kiffin’s indecision on whether to stay in Oxford or leave for LSU.

(Kiffin, who also previously served as the head coach at Tennessee, USC, and FAU, officially accepted the LSU job on Sunday.)

Here’s the video of Garrett’s comments.

Perhaps inspired by the Kiffin saga, Cleveland Browns defensive lineman used a similar comment to insult San Francisco 49ers receiver Jauan Jennings on Sunday.

Jennings, a former Vols standout, is known for easily getting under the skin of opponents. And he apparently said some stuff in the 49ers’ 26-8 win over the Browns that didn’t sit well with Harris.

Here’s the transcript of the full comments from Harris.

Football, man. You really never know what to expect.

By the way, Jennings caught a touchdown pass in the win against the Browns.
