Former Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jauan Jennings was fined for the most Jauan Jennings reason ever earlier this month.
Jennings, who is in his fourth season with the San Francisco 49ers, was fined for his Week 2 illegal blindside block on Los Angeles Rams linebacker Christian Rozeboom.
The former Tennessee standout was fined $21,855 for the illegal block.
The 49ers were hit with a 15-yard penalty because of the illegal block. They were later forced to punt on the drive.
While the penalty was less-than-ideal, it didn't hurt the 49ers (San Francisco won the game 30-23). It did, however, hurt Jennings' wallet.
By the way, this isn't the first time that Jennings has been fined for an illegal block. It also happened in early 2022 after the former Vol laid out Dallas Cowboys defensive back Trevon Diggs.
Penalties are never ideal. But Jennings' relentless effort is why he's still beloved all these years later by Tennessee fans.
