Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs was one of the best stories in the NFL this past week.
After not receiving his first career NFL start until the penultimate week of the 2022 regular season — Dobbs' sixth season in the league — the former Tennessee standout is now set to start his sixth straight NFL game this upcoming weekend.
Dobbs started the final two games of the 2022 season for the Tennessee Titans before starting the first three games of the 2023 season for the Arizona Cardinals.
This past weekend, Dobbs earned his first career win via Arizona's upset win against the Dallas Cowboys.
Cardinals fans are understandably starting to rally around Dobbs, but don't expect to see a bunch of No. 9 Dobbs jerseys at the next Arizona home game.
Dobbs recently detailed his attempt to buy his own jersey at the Cardinals' team store.
And it didn't go well (check out the video below).
Apparently Dobbs wasn't listed on the custom jersey creator in Arizona's team store.
I'm guessing that will quickly change now that Dobbs' video has gone viral. But it's still hilarious that the Cardinals forgot to update their jersey creator to include their current starting quarterback.
Earning respect in the NFL is tough — even for a six-year veteran like Dobbs.
Update:
There are now Dobbs jerseys in Arizona's team store!!!
Cardinals drop great ‘mic’d up’ video of Josh Dobbs after his first NFL win as a starter
What a game for Josh Dobbs
