What a career Josh Dobbs has had as a Tennessee Volunteer.
The senior leader of this team put the offense on his back as the Vols beat Nebraska in the Franklin American Mortgae Music City Bowl, 38-24.
Dobbs finishes an illustrious four years with 26 wins under his belt. He's the signal caller who has pulled Tennessee football out of the rut Derek Dooley put it in and helped Butch Jones resurrect the program. He's the quarterback that finally beat Florida and tossed the Hail Mary to take down Georgia.
This year wasn't the year that the Vols imagined, but they would have never been close to winning 9 games without Dobbs.
No SEC Championship appearance, but the Vols' QB can take three bowl wins with him. First the Outback, then the Taxslayer and now the Music City.
His running ability kept Nebraska on its toes as #11 rushed for 118 yards and three touchdowns (a Music City Bowl record).
Including this one.
He also added 291 yard through the air.
On and off the field, Dobbs has been a model citizen and a role model to young VFLers.
The Vols will now try to replace an all-timer that will be rembered, not as the greatest Tennessee quarterback, but one that gave his all to put his team in position to win.
