Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel shared a cool moment with a former Vol on Saturday night on the field at Neyland Stadium.

In the aftermath of Tennessee's win against Alabama, former Vols defensive back Alontae Taylor, who was on UT's sideline throughout the game, found Heupel among the fans who rushed the field and gave his former head coach a big hug.

Taylor, who is off to a terrific start in 2024 with the New Orleans Saints, played at Tennessee during Heupel's first season (2021) leading the program.

The Tennessee native was among the players that chose to stay at UT when Heupel was hired in the wake of the Jeremy Pruitt recruiting scandal that rocked the program (which turned out to be one of the best things that's ever happened to Tennessee).

Taylor could've easily transferred when Pruitt was fired. But he's a Vol through and through — that much is evident after watching him celebrate with Heupel on a delightful Tennessee Saturday night.
