Tennessee Vols head coach Josh Heupel announced during his weekly press conference on Monday that right guard Javontez Spraggins will miss the rest of the 2023 season due to injury.

Spraggins left the Vols' 38-10 loss to Georgia this past weekend after suffering an injury. He was replaced in the game by redshirt senior Jackson Lampley, a former four-star recruit from Nashville (Lampley played 22 snaps against the Bulldogs).

Tennessee has two games remaining this season. The regular season finale against Vanderbilt this upcoming Saturday and a bowl game in either late December or early January.

Spraggins has made 37 starts for the Vols since joining the program in 2020. The senior offensive lineman has another year of eligibility remaining (his COVID year), but it's unclear at this point if he'll choose to return to Tennessee in 2024.

Tennessee and Vanderbilt kick off at 3:30 PM ET on Saturday in Knoxville.
