Country music superstar Kenny Chesney is easily one of the most recognizable Tennessee Vols fans on the planet.

Chesney, who grew up in East Tennessee, is a longtime supporter of the Volunteers as evidenced by his close relationship with former Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning.

Manning has been spotted on stage at Chesney concerts numerous times over the years. The two have also been spotted together at various bars at random times.

On Thursday, Chesney joined The Pat McAfee Show and he was asked about his fandom amid the growing changes in college sports in recent years (NIL, transfer portal, etc).

Chesney made it clear that doesn't plan to stop watching college football anytime soon.

"I guess I'm still going to watch," said Chesney. "I still love the sport. I mean, I grew up watching college football with my father. I grew up in Knoxville so we didn't have a pro allegiance to anything. If we wanted to watch baseball, we had to go to Atlanta or Cincinnati. We didn't have a pro football allegiance — it was all Tennessee football. So I'm still going to watch Tennessee play football. I don't care how much it all changes."

McAfee then pointed out to Chesney that Tennessee fans are the "most dedicated fans in the entire college football world"

"It's a fun place to go watch a football game," added Chesney, who also noted that the first stadium concert he ever played was Neyland Stadium in 2003.

Chesney, like most Tennessee fans, is clearly a die-hard fan that is going to ride or die with the Volunteers, regardless of how much college football changes.
