The Tennessee Vols will enter the 2024 season with one of the top wide receiver groups in the nation.

Tennessee returns several stellar wide receivers in Squirrel White, Bru McCoy, Dont'e Thornton, Kaleb Webb, and Chas Nimrod.

The Vols also brought in several talented newcomers in Tulane transfer Chris Brazzell and true freshmen Mike Matthews and Braylon Staley.

Despite Tennessee's wealth of talent at the wide receiver position, the Vols weren't listed among On3's top 10 wide receiver units for the 2024 season.

To be fair to On3, there are several elite wide receiver rooms across the country. And someone had to be left out of the top 10. It just happened to be Tennessee in their rankings (the Vols were listed among the "best of the rest").

But I'm sure Tennessee's wide receivers feel like they should be included among the 10 best wide receiver units in college football — even though they haven't received much love this offseason from the national media.

Tennessee's wide receivers should use the slight as motivation. It should be bulletin board material that they post everywhere.

Football players, in general, tend to play better when they have a chip on their shoulder. Tennessee's wide receivers getting somewhat overlooked this offseason should be something that every wide receiver on the Vols' roster takes personally.
