Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers are coming after one of the Tennessee Vols’ top recruiting targets
Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers continue to be a thorn in the side of the Tennessee Vols.
Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers continue to be a thorn in the side of the Tennessee Vols.
Earlier this month, Kiffin and the Tigers landed Arizona State transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt over the Volunteers.
LSU won the battle for Leavitt following Kiffin’s not-so-secret rendezvous in Knoxville with the transfer quarterback.
Now the Tigers are coming for one of Tennessee’s top 2027 recruiting targets.
LSU is in the mix for 2027 five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson
2027 five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson is one of the Vols’ top recruiting targets.
Dobson, 6-1, 175 pounds from Fort Mill, SC, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 2 cornerback in the nation and the No. 3 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.
A couple of members of Kiffin’s LSU coaching staff — defensive coordinator Blake Baker and secondary coach Corey Raymond — made the trip to the Carolinas this week to check in on Dobson.
Dobson is one of the most coveted recruits in the nation. It’s certainly no surprise that LSU is heavily involved.
The Vols have done a good job of recruiting Dobson so far, but there’s a long way to go in this battle.
Texas A&M is another program to keep an eye on in Dobson’s recruitment.
