Lane Kiffin trolled Tennessee baseball just minutes after the Vols’ series loss to Kent State
It was a tough weekend for the Tennessee Vols baseball team.
It was a tough weekend for the Tennessee Vols baseball program.
After beating Kent State Friday night on a walk-off home run from Tyler Myatt, Tennessee dropped the final two games of the series.
The Vols will be back in action on Tuesday against Bellarmine before taking part in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series in Arlington, TX (Tennessee will play UCLA, Arizona State, and Virginia Tech).
LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin trolls Tennessee baseball
LSU Tigers Lane Kiffin enjoyed one of his favorite activities on Sunday afternoon — tweeting about the Tennessee Vols.
About 10 minutes after Tennessee’s loss to Kent State in the rubber game of the series went final, Kiffin, who was the Vols’ head coach in 2009, tweeted a video of a grill that caught fire over the weekend in the outfield seats in Lindsey-Nelson Stadium.
Kiffin, who spends significantly more time on Twitter/X.com than most coaches, knows how to perfectly time his troll attempts, so I’m sure it was no coincidence that he tweeted that video shortly after the Vols’ loss to Kent State.
Just Lane being Lane.
By the way, you gotta feel for the guy in the video — we’ve all been there, at some point, when on grill duty (especially if burgers are on the menu).
Some of us, though, recognize our grilling limitations and would never attempt to grill in front of a crowd full of fans who have enjoyed a few Michelobs. But hey, shoot your shot I guess.
As for Kiffin, it’s starting to feel like he sees Tennessee as the one that got away.
