The latest comments from Arkansas State head coach Butch Jones will sound awfully familiar to Tennessee Vols fans.

Jones, who was the head coach at Tennessee from 2013 to 2017, was known for making wild excuses during his time on Rocky Top.

Butch constantly talked about the Vols' youth or the number of players that hadn't flown on airplanes before.

After getting fired from Tennessee, you'd think that Jones would look at some of the mistakes he made — and certainly his media sessions were always an adventure — and correct those mistakes.

But nope. Butch is still making the same asinine comments at Arkansas State.

Butch is basically already making excuses for his team. I can't imagine that his players feel very confident hearing Jones already bemoaning aspects of his team.

Some people never change. And Butch is included in that group of people.
