Former Tennessee Vols standout Ja'Wuan James is more than ready for the 2022 season to get underway.

That's because James, a player who started 49 straight games for UT from 2010 to 2013, is expecting a big year from the Vols in Josh Heupel's second season leading the program.

The former first-round draft pick (No. 19 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft) took to Twitter this past week to make a bold prediction for Tennessee in 2022.

James, who currently plays for the Baltimore Ravens, excitedly predicted that the Vols will win the SEC East this upcoming season.

I haven't seen every prediction made by the media for the SEC East this year, but I'm willing to bet that almost 100 percent of them have the Georgia Bulldogs winning the division.

And that's the way it should be. Georgia is the best team in the division and they're the defending national champions — there's no reason to bet against them. They're the kings of the east until they're not.

However, we've seen programs unanimously predicted to win the SEC East before only to come up short. And if any team in the SEC East is positioned to unseat Georgia, it's the Vols and their potent, up-tempo offensive attack.
