The Tennessee Vols will host the Mississippi State Bulldogs this upcoming Saturday night in Knoxville.

Tennessee is coming off a 28-18 win against the Kentucky Wildcats while Mississippi State is coming off a 45-20 win against UMass — which was the Bulldogs' first win since August 31 when they opened the season with a win against Eastern Kentucky.

One Mississippi State player, specifically, has been looking forward to playing Tennessee "for a while".

Bulldogs wide receiver Jordan Mosley, a former four-star recruit, was committed to Tennessee from 2019 to early 2021. Mosley was the first player to decommit from the Vols after Jeremy Pruitt was fired following the 2020 season.

Mosley signed with Northwestern after decommitting from Tennessee. He transferred to Mississippi State after his true freshman season.

"I was committed to Tennessee for a long time, for like three years, in high school," said Mosley after Mississippi State's win against UMass. "I didn't get to go — everybody got fired and stuff like that. So for me, I've been waiting on this for a while. I'm excited to get there, excited to play on Rocky Top.

"We just gotta go in there and we gotta play for each other [and] play great ball. Take care of the ball most importantly and dominate. That's the word, that's the word for the university — dominate. Dominate in everything we do, every play you get."

Mosley is having the best season of his college career in 2024. The Alabama native has 19 receptions for 327 yards and two touchdowns through the Bulldogs' first nine games of the year. Coming into this season, Mosley had six receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown over the first three years of his career.

Tennessee and Mississippi State will kick off at 7:00 PM ET on Saturday night.
