The Missouri Tigers put up a good fight against the Tennessee Vols on Tuesday night in Columbia, but they ultimately came up short, falling 72-67 to UT.

After the game, Missouri head coach Dennis Gates went viral for a comment he made about his team.

"The big picture of it all was our inability — we gotta do a better job of drawing fouls," said Gates. "I think we suck at it. We're f—ing terrible. We're terrible at drawing fouls. And we gotta do a better job."

Gates' comments were harsh, but they weren't inaccurate. Missouri is ranked last in the SEC in free throw attempts this season (though there wasn't a big disparity against Tennessee on Tuesday with the Tigers attempting 21 free throws and the Vols attempting 27).
