A popular mock draft destination for Tennessee Vols running back Jaylen Wright seems even more likely after NFL free agency opened on Monday.

Several recent mock drafts have the Las Vegas Raiders selecting Wright in the middle rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft.

On Monday, the Green Bay Packers reportedly agreed to a deal with former Raiders running back Josh Jacobs (the deal can't become official until Wednesday at 4:00 PM ET).

With Jacobs leaving Las Vegas, it means the Raiders will lean on Zamir White as their top running back.

White, however, has yet to prove that he can be "the guy" in the NFL. The former Georgia Bulldogs standout rushed for 451 yards last season in 17 games (four starts).

The expectation is that Las Vegas will target a running back in the middle to late rounds of the draft to pair with White with Jacobs no longer on the roster.

Wright is seemingly the perfect fit. He's fast (4.38 in the 40), picks up tough yards after contact, and has the patience to excel in the zone-blocking scheme that Las Vegas will run under new offensive coordinator Luke Getsy (that's an area where Wright excelled this past season at Tennessee).

You never know how the draft will actually play out — another team could fall in love with Wright and select him ahead of the Raiders. But there's certainly a path to Las Vegas for Wright with Jacobs moving on to Green Bay.
