Country music superstar Morgan Wallen shouted out the Tennessee Vols during his appearance as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live this week.
Wallen ended his performance by saying "praise the Lord and Go Vols, baby".
Wallen's appearance on Saturday Night Live ended in mild controversy when the singer left the stage as the credits rolled.
The musical guest and the guest host (acress Mikey Madison in this instance) typically remain on the stage and mingle with the guests after the show ends.
But Wallen, perhaps unaware of this custom, immediately exited the stage, leading to a firestorm on social media.
The singer posted a photo on his Instagram story after the show of a private jet with the caption "get me to God's country".
Wallen, who is from Sneedville, TN, is a huge Tennessee fan. He's often seen in attendance at Vols sporting events (including the SEC Tournament in Nashville earlier this month), so it's no surprise that he used his opportunity on Saturday Night Live to shout out the Volunteers.
