Tennessee's 24-17 win against the Alabama Crimson Tide in Neyland Stadium in October came in at No. 3 in 247Sports' list of top 10 atmospheres in 2024.
From 247Sports: The Third Saturday in October is up there with the best rivalries in college football. The back-and-forth thriller between Alabama and Tennessee in Neyland Stadium this season was an instant classic. The two sides traded blows before the Volunteers finally sealed the 24-17 win with a fourth-quarter go-ahead touchdown and several clutch defensive stands. It marked the first time Tennessee had won consecutive home games in the longstanding rivalry series since 2004 and 2006. Just as they did back in 2022, Volunteers fans carried the goalposts out of the stadium.
Oregon's win in Eugene against Ohio State came in at No. 2 while South Carolina's win against Texas A&M in Columbia claimed the top spot in 247Sports' rankings.
All of those games had elite atmospheres and they could've been ranked in any order.
The Vols' win against Alabama, however, certainly provided one of the loudest environments that college football saw last season.
