Earlier this week, 247Sports ranked the top 10 best stadium atmospheres in college football.
Tennessee Vols fans will be happy to know that Neyland Stadium made 247Sports' top 10 list, but it wasn't ranked No. 1.
Instead, LSU's Tiger Stadium was ranked No. 1 with Penn State's Beaver Stadium at No. 2.
Neyland Stadium came in at No. 3.
From 247Sports: Tennessee's climb back to national prominence during the Josh Heupel era re-invigorated a fanbase hungry to compete at the top of the college football world. The Neyland Stadium experience returned to elite form and delivered a celebration for the ages after the Vols toppled Alabama in the 2022 rivalry battle. That amount of passion is on full display every time the Vols run through the T and every time the band blasts Rocky Top through the more than 100,000 seats in Knoxville.
Some Vols fans may disagree with that ranking, but it's fair. Once you get to the top five or six stadiums in college football, it's tough to objectively rank them. They're all electric atmospheres. And depending on the matchup, all of the stadiums in the top five (or even the top 10) are capable of providing the most electric atmosphere in the sport on any given night.
Neyland Stadium, though, is undoubtedly one of the top environments in college football. And it's an experience that should be on every college football fan's bucket list.
