Charlotte Hornets forward Grant Williams, a former Tennessee Vols standout, was involved in a controversial on-court moment on Friday night (something that's become a bit of a theme for the former Vol as an NBA player).

In the final moments of the Hornets' loss to the Golden State Warriors, Charlotte forward Miles Bridges took exception to a late shot attempt by Lester Quinones (Golden State was up 11 with around 12 seconds to play).

An on-court scuffle, which was mostly just a bunch of yelling at each other, ensued after Bridges gave Quinones a little shove. That's when Williams, who was recently traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Hornets, confronted Quinones.

After the game, Warriors forward Draymond Green, who has been suspended multiple times this season for his on-court shenanigans, threw some shade at Williams.

"Grant Williams gotta stop it," said Green. "Being this tough guy is going absolutely wrong for him. Like, he's a really nice guy. For some reason, he keeps trying to jump on the unlikable side. I must tell you, it's not always fun over here (on the unlikable side). It's not always a good time."

"Talking too much kind of got you out of Dallas," added Green. "And he's over there talking too much now….stop all the tough guy stuff."

"Pray for Grant Williams," said Green to wrap up his thoughts.

Williams should probably tone it down in some situations — there's no reason for an altercation at the end of a loss. But his competitiveness is why he's been able to earn a key role on three different NBA teams. Williams can't change who is as a player, but at the same time, he probably doesn't need to be on SportsCenter on a weekly basis for on-court altercations.
