Tennessee Vols basketball coach Rick Barnes bumped into an NBA legend this past week after UT's win against Michigan State.
Hall of Famer Magic Johnson posted a photo to Twitter/X.com of himself with Barnes after Tennessee's 89-88 win against Michigan State in an exhibition game that took place on Sunday.
"It was really a great pleasure to meet future Hall of Famer and Tennessee Men’s Basketball Coach Rick Barnes at the airport in Lansing, MI after the MSU vs. Tennessee exhibition," wrote Johnson in the tweet.
This is the definition of "real recognizes real". It's clear that Johnson has a lot of respect for Barnes and what he's accomplished over his lengthy career as a college basketball head coach.
