The Tennessee Vols bounced back this week after suffering a 16-point loss to the Texas A&M Aggies the previous weekend.

Tennessee went on the road last week and beat Arkansas 92-63 before returning home to take down Vanderbilt 88-53.

Those two dominant wins combined with losses from Kansas and North Carolina has On3 predicting that Tennessee will jump from No. 8 to No. 6 in the new AP Top 25 poll that will be released later on Monday.

From On3: Tennessee took care of business this week against a pair of weaker SEC opponents. First, they took down Arkansas on the road and then beat in-state rival Vanderbilt to ensure they move up the rankings this week instead of down.

The Volunteers play against Missouri on the road this week before getting Texas A&M at home over the weekend.

The Vols are still very much in the mix for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. But they have some massive games left on the schedule that will play a key role in how the seeding plays out. Tennessee has games left against Auburn, Alabama, South Carolina, and Kentucky — plus the SEC Tournament.

There are plenty of opportunities for the Vols to solidify their résumé, but plenty of opportunities to falter, too.
