The Tennessee Vols have question marks at several positions entering the offseason — specifically at tight end and along the offensive line.

And one of those questions, at least partially, was answered on Monday evening.

Offensive tackle John Campbell announced on Monday evening, in one of the most hilarious ways you'll ever see, that he's returning to Tennessee for his final season of eligibility.

Campbell, who dealt with some injuries in 2023, was the Vols' starting left tackle this past season after transferring to Tennessee from Miami.

That's a huge offseason win for the Volunteers. There wasn't an obvious heir to the left tackle position for Tennessee. Campbell's potential return was always the best-case scenario for the Vols.

The Orlando native has played in 44 career games and he's made 28 career starts (including 10 starts at UT in 2023) between his time at Miami and Tennessee.

Campbell's return instantly solidifies the left tackle position for the Vols while also improving Tennessee's depth along the offensive line. The Vols, however, would still be wise to search for some additional offensive line help from the transfer portal.
