The latest College Football Playoff projection from Sports Illustrated's Pat Forde has the Tennessee Vols hosting what would undoubtedly be a wild playoff game in Neyland Stadium.

Forde, who says his projection doesn't factor in preseason rankings, currently has Tennessee as the No. 7 seed.

That means the Vols would host the No. 10 seed in a playoff game in Neyland Stadium.

Forde currently has Ole Miss as the No. 10 seed.

I don't think it would get much wilder than Lane Kiffin and the Rebels coming to Knoxville in December for a playoff game.

For starters, there's the history between Kiffin and Tennessee — there are plenty of Vols fans who still aren't over Kiffin leaving Rocky Top for SoCal to take the USC job in early 2010.

Secondly, I think we all remember what happened the last time Ole Miss visited Knoxville — trash covered the field after a couple controversial calls and some suspect "injuries" tainted the end of the game. Ole Miss ended up beating Tennessee in that memorable matchup in 2021 after quarterback Joe Milton, who was in the game for an injured Hendon Hooker, ran out of bounds on the game's final play.

We've seen some incredible atmospheres in Neyland Stadium this season, but I'm not sure it could get much better than the Vols hosting a playoff game against Ole Miss in December.

And I'm sure Tennessee fans are eager to get some revenge on Kiffin and the Rebels for that loss in 2021.
