Peyton Manning was spotted hanging out with an important UT football commit on Saturday ahead of the Tennessee Vols’ matchup against the Georgia Bulldogs.
Manning, who never lost to Georgia during his time at Tennessee, was on the field with Vols five-star quarterback commit Faizon Brandon before the game.
Brandon, 6-foot-4/200 lbs from Greensboro, NC (Grimsley), has been committed to Tennessee for a little over a year.
Brandon is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.
Vols commit Faizon Brandon is dealing with a hand injury
In the video with Peyton, Brandon is seen wearing a brace on his throwing hand.
That’s because the five-star recruit injured his hand on the final play of Grimsley’s season-opening win against West Charlotte.
“Faizon injured his thumb in the overtime win against West Charlotte on the last play of the game,” said Grimsley head coach Daryl Brown to WGHP earlier this month of Brandon’s injury. “Nothing too serious. He’s going to be out a few weeks. We don’t know. It could be a couple of weeks. It could be four weeks. It’s just kind of a week-to-week thing. When they give him ok to go, he’s going to roll.”
