It's no secret that Tennessee Vols junior edge rusher James Pearce is expected to be a first round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Pearce, however, isn't the only Tennessee player that could hear his name called in the first round next spring.
The latest 2025 NFL mock draft from Pro Football Focus has Vols senior defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott getting selected by the Arizona Cardinals with the No. 19 overall pick.
(PFF has Pearce going to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the No. 15 overall pick.)
From PFF: The Cardinals are inconsistent but display flashes of promise each week. The interior defensive line needs help, and while Norman-Lott is a new name to the first round of mock drafts, the 6-foot-3, 315-pound redshirt senior boasts a 20.7% pass-rush win percentage this season — higher than any of the top draft-eligible interior defensive linemen.
Norman-Lott is in his second season with the Vols after transferring to Tennessee from Arizona State ahead of the 2023 season.
The California native was solid for the Vols last season, totaling 26 tackles, six tackles for loss, and 5.5 sacks in 10 games.
In seven games this season, Norman-Lott has 11 tackles, three tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks.
The secret to quickly unlocking Nico Iamaleava’s talent has been discovered, but Tennessee might not be willing to do it
Kinda a catch 22 for the Vols
