2027 4-star recruit who went to the same high school as former Alabama QB Ty Simpson set to visit Tennessee ahead of commitment announcement
The Tennessee Vols are one of several programs in the mix to land a 2027 four-star recruit who attends the same high school that former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson attended.
The Tennessee Vols are among the programs in the mix for an in-state four-star cornerback.
2027 four-star cornerback Miles Brown, 5-foot-11/188 pounds from Martin, TN, attends the same high school (Westview) that former Alabama Crimson Tide quarterback Ty Simpson attended.
Tennessee is very familiar with Westview after recruiting Simpson in 2021. The Vols are also currently recruiting 2028 four-star quarterback Graham Simpson, the younger brother of Ty who also attends Westview.
Miles Brown is reportedly planning to visit Tennessee in May
According to On3’s Chad Simmons, Brown will take an official visit to Tennessee on June 5.
Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Louisville are also set to receive official visits from the four-star defensive back.
Brown is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 41 cornerback in the nation and the No. 16 player in the state of Tennessee. He’s also rated as the No. 379 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.
“The coaches always show love,” said Brown to On3 of his interest in the Volunteers. “They recruit me hard, and the atmosphere is insane. They’ve brought in some good pieces on defense, and I like how they produce. Being in-state is cool too.”
Brown, who visited Tennessee last season for the Vols’ game against Georgia and Oklahoma, also noted that he plans to commit in June or July.
