The Tennessee Vols are making some progress with one of the most coveted players in the 2026 recruiting class.

Rivals.com national recruiting analyst says that Tennessee vaulted "even further up" for 2026 five-star edge rusher Tristian Givens after his recent official visit to Rocky Top.

"Our intel points to the Volunteers vaulting even further up near the top in this race," noted Spiegelman

Givens, 6-foot-4/215 lbs from Columbus, Ga., is rated by 247Sports as the No. 3 edge rusher in the nation and the No. 4 player in the state of Georgia. He's also rated as the No. 23 overall player in the 2026 recruiting class.

Spiegelman also pointed out that Texas A&M is viewed as the biggest threat to Tennessee in this recruiting battle.

Givens will take an official visit to Texas A&M this weekend. But despite that upcoming visit, Spiegelman still has the Vols landing Givens.

On3's Chad Simmons also suggested this week that Tennessee has the momentum for Givens, though that could certainly change depending on how his official visit to Texas A&M goes this upcoming weekend.

Givens is set to announce his commitment on June 23.
