Last week's news that the LSU Tigers landed 2026 five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys over Tennessee, however, has led to some concern that the Tigers could ramp up their pursuit of Brandon.

Keys and Brandon have developed a close relationship. As a result, Brandon has been trying to recruit Keys to Tennessee. But now that Keys is committed to LSU, he's likely going to try to recruit Brandon to Baton Rouge.

"His friend, five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, just committed to LSU in somewhat of a stunner," wrote 247Sports' Tom Loy this week. "Brandon will stay on him and recruit him to Tennessee, but don't be surprised if Keys increases the dialogue between Brandon and LSU."

LSU quarterbacks coach Joe Sloan has continued to heavily recruit Brandon despite his commitment to Tennessee.

“I don’t decline them but I tell them respectfully I don’t really want to go there,” said Brandon to On3 in February of other programs continuing to recruit him. “I want to keep those relationships because I don’t know what will happen in the future.”

LSU seems to be the program that's the most active in its efforts to flip Brandon from the Volunteers. And now that Keys is committed to the Tigers, those efforts will likely increase.

Of course, Brandon could end up helping Tennessee flip Keys from LSU (the Vols were viewed as the leader for Keys and that recruitment is far from over despite his recent commitment to LSU).

It's still early in the process — official visits, as always, will be key — but this is still a situation that's worth keeping an eye on if you're a Tennessee fan.
