Kaden Martin, the son of Tennessee Vols legendary quarterback Tee Martin, is returning to the football field after initially playing baseball in college.

Martin, who played both sports at Knoxville Catholic, signed with the Miami Hurricanes out of high school to play baseball. He spent just one season (2023) in Coral Gables before entering the NCAA transfer portal.

The former outfielder played with the Danville Otterbots last summer in the Appalachian Summer League.

Martin, who like his dad is a quarterback, is returning to the state of Tennessee to play college football.

The former Knoxville Catholic standout will be playing for Middle Tennessee State this fall.

It's unclear what Martin's role will be at Middle Tennessee State, but I'm sure he'll compete for playing time with the Blue Raiders.

Tee Martin, who was assistant coach with the Vols from 2019 to 2020, just wrapped up his fourth season as an assistant coach with the Baltimore Ravens. The former national championship-winning quarterback has served as Lamar Jackson's quarterbacks coach for the last two seasons in Baltimore (Martin was the Ravens' wide receivers coach during his first two seasons in Baltimore).
