The son of a Tennessee Vols legend will reportedly be in Knoxville on Saturday night for UT's game against the Florida Gators.
According to GoVols247, 2027 five-star safety Cooper Witten, the son of former Vols tight end Jason Witten, will be in Neyland for Tennessee's huge showdown against Florida.
Witten, 6-foot-2/210 lbs from Argyle, TX, is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 1 safety in the nation and the No. 5 player in the state of Texas. He's also rated as the No. 25 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.
Missouri, Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas A&M are among the programs that have also offered Witten.
Witten was actually in Norman a couple of weeks ago for Tennessee's win against Oklahoma, so this will be the second time in less than a month that he's seen the Vols in person.
There's obviously still a long way to go before Witten decides on where he'll play college football, but Tennessee should be right at the top of the list as he inches closer to a decision.
