The Tennessee Vols are set to host the Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday in Neyland Stadium.

Georgia has won eight games in a row against Tennessee.

Many fans and media analysts believe this year’s game is the Vols’ best chance to take down the Bulldogs since their last win in the series in 2016.

Georgia, though, has won each of their four meetings against Josh Heupel by an average of 20 points. Tennessee hasn’t scored more than 17 points in any of those matchups.

Suffice it to say, the Bulldogs have had Tennessee’s number in recent years.

Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde predicts the final score of Tennessee Vols vs. Georgia

Sports Illustrated’s Pat Forde revealed his predictions on Tuesday for some of this weekend’s biggest games.

Forde, who doesn’t have many friends in the UT fan base, actually has the Volunteers beating Georgia on Saturday.

The longtime college football writer has Tennessee beating Georgia 24-21.

“Josh Heupel is 26-4 at home, and the Bulldogs are completely untested after playing Marshall and Austin Peay. And, as noted, the Volunteers are overdue in this rivalry,” wrote Forde.

Tennessee and Georgia are scheduled to kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday. The Bulldogs are a 3.5-point favorite.
