Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs, who is currently the Minnesota Vikings' starting quarterback, received quite the compliment on Sunday night from Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton.

Dobbs and the Vikings lost by one point to Payton and the Broncos on Sunday night. But Payton, who led the New Orleans Saints to a win in the Super Bowl a little over a decade ago, still walked away from the game incredibly impressed with Dobbs.

“Considering what he’s been through, where the year began…with Cleveland and then it was Arizona, and what he’s doing now, there’s so much that goes into playing that position," said Payton after the Broncos' win on Sunday night. "And to see the poise he’s playing with is really remarkable. I haven’t seen anything like it.”

Dobbs wasn't able to lead the Vikings to a win on Sunday night, but he kept Minnesota in the game until the very end. If the Vikings' defense could've held up a little better, and if the offensive line could've handled Denver's pressure on the final drive of the game, the result could've gone in Minnesota's favor.

Still, considering the situation, it's remarkable the way Dobbs has performed for the Vikings over the last few weeks.
