Well, maybe Tennessee can't take complete credit for it, but they at least played a part in the decision.
On Monday, the Mississippi State Bulldogs fired pitching coach Scott Foxhall.
According to that tweet from D1 Baseball's Kendall Rogers, the Mississippi State pitching staff was having a tough season before their series this past weekend against Tennessee.
Foxhall's firing, however, comes directly after the Vols scored 33 runs in their three-game sweep of the Bulldogs in Knoxville this past weekend.
Foxhall was already on thin ice, but there's no doubt that Tennessee's terrific offensive weekend broke the ice completely.
I'd say Tennessee baseball has its groove back. They've completed back-to-back sweeps of conference opponents and they're getting coaches fired. The Vols have officially put the slow start to the season behind them.
