The Tennessee Volunteers played poorly in College Station on February 10 during UT's 85-69 loss to the Aggies, and the A&M fans let the players hear about it.

Turnabout was only fair play on Saturday night at the Food City Center at Thompson-Boling Arena. In the waning moments of game, Tennessee fans hit the Aggies with an "NIT" chant as the Vols rolled up an 86-51 shellacking of the NCAA tournament hopeful Aggies.

As it would be, the Aggies are projected to be right on the cut line for the NCAA tournament.  Jimmy Dykes from the broadcast had them among his last four teams in.  Going into Saturday, ESPN's Joe Lunardi had the Aggies as his last team into the tournament in his bracketology.

Now, who knows what that loss will do to the Aggies in the eyes of the tournament committee.  Sure, Texas A&M has plenty of time to bounce back, starting on Wednesday against a ranked South Carolina team, but that's a terrible look for a team trying to prove they deserve to play with the big boys in late March.

For now, the Aggies are likely on the outside looking into the tournament after getting absolutely blown off the court over the game's final 24 minutes.  The game was tied at 24 after 16 minutes.  Tennessee outscored A&M 62-27 the rest of the way.

Tennessee clearly proved on Saturday night that they're not overrated.  And they might have just proven that the Aggies are indeed NIT material.  What a difference a couple of weeks can make.
