Auburn's Neville Arena will be rocking on Saturday night when the #6 Tennessee Vols and #1 Auburn Tigers do battle.
As one would expect, the venue will be a hostile one full of wild Tiger fans. However, there will also be some Volunteer faithful in the building. And one of them let star Auburn big man Johni Broome know they were coming.
Broome posted a short video clip on his Instagram account on Saturday morning showing him taking a couple of paper "power T's" off of his car.
Broome included the note, "ok, let's do it then". Considered the bear poked, Tennessee fans.
Broome is one of the best players in the country, but he's also someone who's been a big question mark coming into Saturday. Broome injured his ankle during Auburn's comeback win over South Carolina earlier this month and has been out since.
However, it sounds like there's a good chance that Broome suits up on Saturday night and is a go. That would make an already very difficult matchup for the Vols even tougher. The last time these teams played back on February 28, 2024 in a 92-84 UT win, Broome led Auburn in points (23), rebounds (9), and assists (5). He's a do-it-all scorer, rebounder, and distributor in the paint and someone who Tennessee will have to focus their energy on if they hope to stay in the game on Saturday night.
And now, he's got a little bit more of a reason to go out and give it his best on Saturday, thanks to some mischievous Tennessee backer.
