The Tennessee Vols are off to a blistering hot start in Omaha, winning their first two games of the College World Series against tough competition in Florida State and North Carolina.
But despite the 2-0 start in Omaha (which is a first in program history), the Vols aren't getting excited just yet. They know the job isn't finished. And that's exactly the message that Tennessee second baseman Christian Moore sent after UT's 6-1 win against the Tar Heels on Sunday evening.
"Obviously, the job's not done," said Moore during an appearance on SEC Network on Sunday after Tennessee's win. "We got Wednesday to take care of. And I don't know who we'll play, but they're two really good ball clubs (UNC and Florida State). And we're going to have to figure out a way to scratch and claw and try to find a win. So, full head of steam on Wednesday and see what can happen."
North Carolina and Florida State will play on Tuesday at 2:00 PM ET. The winner of that game will play the Vols on Wednesday at 2:00 PM ET. If Tennessee wins on Wednesday, they'll advance to the College World Series finals, which is a best-of-three series that will start on Saturday evening.
If Tennessee loses on Wednesday, they'll play the North Carolina/Florida State winner again on Thursday (and the winner of that game will advance to the finals).
If the Vols advance to the College World Series finals, they could potentially play Texas A&M, Kentucky, Florida, or NC State (Florida and NC State play in an elimination game on Monday afternoon).

Vitello's fandom of Peyton, however, didn't stop him from praising current Vols head coach Josh Heupel on Saturday at the expense of Manning. Heupel threw out the first pitch before Tennessee's matchup against the Missouri […]
