The 2025 Tennessee Vols football recruiting class has some very intriguing and highly touted signees in it who could make a quick impact next fall in Knoxville.
Vol fans can get a first look at them as Tennessee Vols when they play in the Polynesian Bowl high school all-star game on Friday night in Honolulu, Hawaii. The game will start at 9:00 pm ET and will be broadcast live on the NFL Network. The game will feature a collection of the most heralded talent in the 2025 and 2026 recruiting classes.
Chief among them for Tennessee is Charlotte five-star offensive tackle David Sanders, Jr., who's viewed by many as a starting tackle for the Vols next season as a true freshman. TE DaSaahn Brame, who could carve out a role in Josh Heupel's passing game quickly, is also going to be playing. Rounding out the Tennessee participants is a pair of four stars in QB George MacIntyre and DL Ethan Utley.
Braame has already earned some praise from recruiting outlets for his work in practice this week leading up to the game. Rivals had this to say about Tennessee's newest tight end:
Another safety net on offense for Team Makai on Monday was the big 6-foot-6 Tennessee signee from Kansas. It wasn’t about making the dazzling play for Brame on Day 1, but he managed to find soft spots in the defense with regularity to make the sure play in a lot of the team situations when he was being targeted.
He made a couple contested plays over the middle of the field and was useful in the flat as well, giving his quarterbacks a check-down option with regularity throughout the practice.
Tennessee fans will also be able to get a close look at 2026 five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys out of Hattiesburg, one of the top players in the class. Keys, who earned praise for his work early in the week in camp, is someone Tennessee has at the top of their 2026 wish list, and it appears the interest is reciprocated by Keys as the Vols are considered a top contender for his services.
The game gets underway at 9:00 pm ET on Friday from Kunuiakea Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Update: The University of Tennessee announced Friday afternoon that four-star 2025 signee WR Travis Smith, Jr. is taking part in the game as well. Smith is not listed on the event roster but will be participating.
