The Tennessee Volunteers and Virginia Cavaliers are both teams that take pride in wearing orange.  As it turns out, the team known as the Big Orange will don the orange jerseys on Saturday when the schools meet in both schools' season opener.

Tennessee announced their game uniform combination for Saturday's game, and it will be a very familiar combination.

The Vols have worn white/orange/white before at Nissan Stadium, most recently in the Vols' 59-30 win over Bowling Green in the 2015 season opener. The team also sported the same combination in the 2010 Music City Bowl against North Carolina.  The Vols wore all greys against Nebraska in the 2016 Music City Bowl and all whites two years ago against Purdue in the same game.

The Vols wore the white/orange/white combination 5 times out of 13 games in 2022 – against Ball State, Florida, Alabama, Missouri, and Clemson.  Some of Tennessee's most memorable games of the last 15 years.

Now, Tennessee hopes to start another great era of Volunteer football on Saturday, and it's nice to see they'll do it in a truly classic style.
