Former Tennessee Vols quarterback Josh Dobbs made a comment on Thursday that is certain to make fans of the Big Orange smile.
Dobbs appeared in studio on Thursday with 104.5 The Zone's Buck Reising to discuss the Vols' huge matchup on Saturday with the Georgia Bulldogs.
Tennessee and Georgia are set to square off in a showdown in Athens that should determine the winner of the SEC East.
Dobbs, who beat the Bulldogs twice during his four years at UT, is the most recent Tennessee quarterback to earn a win against Georgia (2016).
The former Vols quarterback was asked during his appearance on 104.5 about the atmosphere at Sanford Stadium. That's become a big topic of debate this week thanks to a tweet from former Vols quarterback Erik Ainge.
Dobbs seemed to agree with Ainge's statement.
"It wasn't very rowdy until the end of the game (in 2016)," said Dobbs.
"But comparative to Neyland, there's really no comparison, honestly," added Dobbs.
If you want to make Tennessee fans smile, take a shot at Georgia and praise Neyland Stadium. It'll work every time.
As far as the loudness of Sanford Stadium goes?
I don't think it'll be as loud as what we've seen at Neyland in recent weeks. Tennessee hasn't been on the national stage like this in quite some time. Fans have been begging for a reason to erupt for over 15 years.
There's no way anyone at Georgia can compete with the energy that Vol fans have these days. It's the result of 15 years of pent-up frustration.
