Tennessee Vols offensive lineman John Campbell, an offseason addition from Miami via the NCAA transfer portal, sent a message this week that UT fans will love.
Earlier this week, Vols offensive line coach Glen Elarbee said at the Knoxville Quarterback Club that Campbell is the best transfer he's ever had.
"John Campbell, man, he’s been unbelievable…he’s the best transfer I’ve ever gotten, bar none,” said Elarbee (via GoVols247).
Campbell saw that quote and replied, via Twitter/X.com, with a message that should bring a smile to the faces of Tennessee fans.
"Best decision I ever made!, Tennessee ain’t got no palm trees but it’s home cuz of y’all and my brothers upfront and the locker room," tweeted Campbell.
Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel and his staff are very careful about the kind of players they bring in via the transfer portal. They want talented players that can dominate in the SEC, but they also want players that fit into the Vols' culture.
It's clear they got the best of both worlds with Campbell.
