The Georgia Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes were also included in Washington's top three.

Washington, 6-foot-7/260 lbs from Las Vegas, NV, is is rated in 247Sports' composite rankings as the No. 1 athlete in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of Nevada. They also rate him as the No. 12 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class.

The Nevada native, who also has offers from Alabama and Clemson, is a dynamic athlete who reportedly runs the 40 in 4.78 seconds. That's impressive speed for someone is who is 6-foot-7.

Washington is also a pretty good high school basketball player. And good basketball players typically make for good tight ends (just ask Tony Gonzalez, Antonio Gates, Jordan Cameron and Jimmy Graham).

The highly coveted tight end told Rivals last month that he wants to go to a school that will get him the ball. Washington said of UT "I like how they say they will use me. Those are the reasons I'm interested in Tennessee."

In order to make a big impression on Washington, the Vols need to get senior tight end Dominick Wood-Anderson more involved in the offense. Of course, with Jim Chaney now calling the plays, getting Wood-Anderson more involved shouldn't be an issue.

Washington is currently scheduled to visit Tennessee again in December. A late visit, combined with a more dynamic UT offense in 2019, could put the Vols over the top for the stud tight end.
