Tennessee Vols are reportedly not giving up on Sam Leavitt despite reports that he’s committed to LSU

The Tennessee Vols are reportedly still pursuing Arizona State transfer quarterback Sam Leavitt despite reports that he’s already committed to the LSU Tigers.

CBS Sports college football insider Matt Zenitz reported on Monday afternoon that Tennessee is still pushing for Leavitt.

On3’s Steve Wiltfong also reported on Monday that Leavitt hasn’t signed with LSU yet.

ESPN’s Pete Thamel initially broke the news on Monday that Leavitt had committed to LSU.

Leavitt took recent trips to Miami, Tennessee, and LSU.

Leavitt is coming off a foot injury that ended his 2025 season at Arizona State. He’s not expected to be available for spring practice wherever he signs.
