Tennessee Vols aren't rushing recruits to make decisions

One of the worst things a college coach can do is rush a recruit into making a commitment/decision.
It's completely unfair to a high school kid to be coerced into making a decision about their future before they're ready.
Not all college coaches do this, but there are certainly some that do.
Jeremy Pruitt and his Tennessee Vols coaching staff, however, aren't among those that do.
In fact, Pruitt and his staff make sure to tell recruits to take their time making any decision.
2021 three-star athlete Malachi Bennett recently told VolQuest that Tennessee's coaches told him to take his time making a decision and to lean on his parents for advice.
This is another example of the way Tennessee's coaches build trust with recruits.
If a coaching staff is telling a recruit to take their time and take everything into consideration (and to lean on parents for advice), it will probably be pretty easy for that recruit to trust the staff.
This isn't a "recruiting method", either. Pruitt and his staff genuinely care about the kids they're recruiting. They aren't just football players. UT's coaches are invested in the lives of their players.
And that's not to say that other coaching staffs aren't. There are a lot of tremendous coaches in college football that have a major impact on the lives of players.
But there are some bad apples, too.
There's been nothing so far to suggest that Tennessee's coaches are anything but authentic. Every time a recruit talks to a reporter about the staff, it seems like the word "trust" is used or insinuated.
After the way Butch Jones handled recruiting, it has to be refreshing for UT fans to see a staff that approaches recruiting the right way.
